Generation Two is about to begin, but first, a recap of Generation One (even though it's been three days).
Nate McKracken moved to Riverview to begin a new life as a CEO of a business. He didn't actually have any experience running a business, but he soon rose through the ranks of the local business to become the head boss. He still doesn't know what he's the boss of, exactly, but it's the thought that counts.
He travelled around the world
Bai Tsang, now Bai McKracken, moved from China to start a new life with Nate in Riverview. He had a very short lived career as a vocalist, before getting a job at the local military base. His skills in Athletics and Martial Arts meant that he rapidly shot up the career ladder. He was the perfect match for Nate, as he was the calm soul next to Nate's chaotic energy.
The two managed to save up enough money to buy a cheap old farmhouse in the outskirts of the town, and adopted two girls.
Peony McKracken, the elder daughter and current heiress, was brought up with Bai's martial arts skills and sense of discipline. As such, she grew up to believe that she was a reincarnation of a warrior princess from a long lost world. Whenever she sees something that she believes is wrong, she will act upon it, even if it gets her into trouble. After a family trip to China, she rolled the Lifetime Wish to travel the world and gain the highest visa she can. Even if it means rummaging around in tombs in her formal wear.
Martha McKracken, the younger daughter and the spare/"help" of the generation, is what happens when nervous energy gains a human body. Though she tries so hard to maintain her edgy appearance and become the Ultimate Edgelord(TM), her traits mean that she's just a bit of a nervous wreck. She channelled this energy into screaming at inanimate objects and arguing with herself. After beating up a potential romantic interest after he denied her kiss, she gained the Lifetime Wish to become the Emperor of Evil.
The rolls for this generation are:
- Couple With Help
- 3 Children
- Criminal (Evil)
- Music (Rock Star)
- Science
- Career Student (The Dilettante)
- It's So YOU!
Let's get this generation started with a graduation.
Nate: Marth, aren't you cold in just that dress?
Martha: I have no feelings. They are dead inside.
Bai: *heavy sigh*
Edgelord(TM) Martha is back.
Peony managed to become Class Valedictorian. As she was making her speech, she could faintly hear Martha mutter "teacher's pet" under her breath.
Some habits never die, it seems.
As soon as graduation was over, Martha headed home.
Wearing a short dress in the middle of autumn is never a good idea.
Peony decided to walk around town in her formal wear. At least she's a bit more covered up than Martha.
Though she does look like the stereotypical Disney princess about to burst into song.
How she can run in those high heels and not break an ankle is beyond me.
Also like a Disney princess, she fall for the first bloke she comes across.
Peony, stop gawking at his chest. His eyes are up there.
After spending hours standing in the rain and talking, Peony managed to nab Eugene's number (yes, his name is Eugene). After promising to stay in touch, Peony headed back home to dry off.
Back at the house, Martha was trying her hardest to complete her homework. She had somehow made it onto the honour roll, and wanted to stay there. Her school performance was shocking, so she was doing anything to make sure she didn't fail.
The whole house was shook when the news broke.
Martha was not the only one who was learning.
As part of the generation goal, Peony headed to the theatre to take all four music classes that were available.
Four of the ten classes, done and dusted.
After making progress with the generation goal, Peony decided to make a start on her personal goal.
Her first destination was China, where she already has a Visa Level.
The sandals really complete the outfit, methinks. Shame she doesn't wear it when going through the tombs.
Her first stop was the Scholar Garden, where she mediated for a few hours.
Her next stop was deep down in a tomb, where she took a page out of Nate's book and smashed several piles of rocks...
And shoved her hands into suspicious holes in the wall.
Judging by her reaction, I don't want to know what she's found.
Peony: Huh, a staircase. Where does it lead to?
It's leads to this.
Before she entered the central room, she came across this message:
That doesn't sound ominous at all.
Peony ignored the message and walked right into a fire trap.
*sigh*
Like father, like daughter.
Just like this.
She is beauty, she is grace...
She is also enjoying herself, despite her near death experience.
So much so that she launches herself back into more fire traps.
Lara Croft, eat your heart out.
Whatever Peony did, it was good enough to gain her a Level 2 Visa.
On her final day, Peony ventured down in yet another tomb, but this time she went in her formal clothes.
It did not stop her from breaking rocks like a champion.
And diving into wells like an Olympic diver.
Unfortunately, she didn't have time to finish the tomb off. Which means that another visit to finish off China is needed. Not that I mind. I like exploring China and sending my Sims down increasingly dangerous tombs.
Back in Riverview, it was time for Martha's birthday.
Naturally, the table caught fire.
Because of course it did.
Words cannot describe just how done Peony is.
Peony: I come back from nearly burning to death in China to find you setting the house on fire. I did not sign up for this.
You're the heiress, Peony. This is exactly what you signed up for.
Bai: How can a birthday cake cause this much damage?
Martha: I DON'T KNOW D:
Nate: What do you mean, you don't know? You caused this!
Peony: I swear to God I am done with this family.
Jokes on you, Peony. You are this family now.
After the fire was extinguished, and the birthday cake and table were restored, Martha finally aged up into a young adult.
Martha is still incredibly pretty, and maintains her Edgelord(TM) look. She seems to have gone back to wear sleeves, after spending her teenage years not wearing any. Her clothes have gone from Hot Topic reject to 80's goth reject. Her adult trait is Evil, with is fitting given that she aged up in a literal blaze of glory.
----
The first chapter of Generation Two comes to an end! As of writing, all gen three spawn are children, with the eldest about to age into a teenager. Hopefully it will be an exciting generation, and I'm itching to write it down and tell the story of Peony and Martha.
See you next time!
I appreciated the recap of the first generation and of the second generation rolls. I'm guessing Peony will be a rock star, since she took all those music classes. Also, the whole "spontaneously breaking out in song" thing fits her whole Disney princess image.
ReplyDeleteIf you can't explore tombs in formalwear without breaking a heel, what are you even doing with your life?
That may be the most appropriate birthday cake fire I have ever seen. I also feel like Hot Topic reject to 80s goth reject is a pretty natural transition. Looking forward to seeing what the sisters do with their generation!
I like to include recaps about what happened, even it's been a day between chapters. Yeah, I figured that Peony would be the rock star. She's not done much in her career, because she's always going abroad.
DeletePeony does what she wants. Even it means rummaging around tombs in her formalwear.
I didn't plan for the cake to set the table on fire. It just happened. I was just as done as Peony was when it happened. No shock, no worry about the house burning down, just... 100% done.
Lol, Martha on the honor roll when she has made fun of Peony. XD And to top off her other traits, she also gets evil. I just love her!
ReplyDeletePeony's already in love, lol. And good for her saving the family.
She is amazing xD I'll be sad when she leaves the family D:
DeleteAnd Peony falling in love with the first person she comes across. That's the McKracken way!
