Before I begin, I have some good news and some bad news. I'll start with the bad news, because I need to have a mini rant again about the glitches that ruin everything.
Glitches like this.
WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS?!
I waited for ages for the game to fix itself, but it never did. I couldn't click on anything, not even the menu. I had to force quit to get out the game. After I waited a bit, I loaded the game back up and tried to go back to France. I was stuck on the loading screen for ten minutes. The loading screen is normally five minutes, max.
Because of this, I've had to leave the World Adventures stuff out for the rest of the generation. This happened towards the end of the current generation, so I have a lot of WA screenshots and content to go through. I would leave it out, but some of it does have some importance to the story. For the most part, unless it progresses the story, I'll leave it out.
Sorry! D:
Anyway, onto the good news. I have nearly completed the generation! The Gen Three heir is a few days away from turning into a young adult, so I have a lot of screenshots to get through.
Last time, Peony started dating Eugene Lefeure and had a daughter. Plus Nate and Bai aged up into elders D:
Peony: Eugene, my love, will you be my prince?
Eugene: Oh course, my princess!
Meanwhile...
Martha: Fear me!
Yeah, she doesn't quite have the same effect as Peony.
Peony: Ah, you're going to grow up to be just like me.
Yeah, she really is.
Eugene: Ahh, I made this.
And you're about to have another one.
Peony: Blueggh...
With another grandchild on the way, Nate managed to reach the top level of the Business career.
Look at the bonus!
Now that he was an elder, and had reached the top level of his career, he decided that now was the best time to retire.
I love you, Nate.
*sigh* Why am I not surprised?
As soon as she gets to work, Martha gets arrested.
Because of course she does.
Officer: We can't have the other inmates being jealous over your achievements...
At least Bai got his final promotion in the military career!
I didn't let him retire, just because he works one day a week and earns a ton of money.
I love you, Bai.
If that's a "small" holiday bonus, I want to know what a large bonus is.
Peony: Papa, I'm having another child. I think it's going to be a boy this time.
Bai: Well, now that Nate is retired and I only work one day a week, you'll have plenty of help around.
Just as well, because Cayleigh is about to age up.
Here's what I don't get about Sim genetics. Peony is blonde with purple eyes, and Eugene has brown hair and grey eyes. So naturally Cayleigh gets the same hair and eyes colour as Bai, Peony's adoptive father who has no genetic relation to her.
Genetics! How do they work!
All confusion about genetics aside, she's pretty cute.
The current heiress of the legacy doesn't get to sit at the table. I forgot to add more chairs round the table, but I like to think that she's been shunned by her family despite being the one adding to it.
Eugene: Okay, Cayleigh, say "ladybird". As in "with this colour scheme, I look like a ladybird right now."
With a lot of adults in the household, there was no shortage of help raising Cayleigh.
Especially now that Peony was taking a well earned rest before her second child was born.
No, she wasn't.
She was fixing the dishwasher.
The exact opposite of what she should be doing.
Peony: I'm currently in labour, and I'm the one driving us to the hospital. What are you doing?
Eugene: Offering moral support?
Peony's predication was right, and she emerged holding a baby boy. Meet Damien McKracken, who was born with the Disciplined and Grumpy traits. He likes Chinese music, fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches, and the colour green. His star sign is Scorpio.
Peony: Oh joy, another one.
Cheer up, you're getting married!
In France!
As this was back when my game wasn't broken, I put a bit more effort into the wedding. In hindsight, it's not much better than the screenshot I got of Nate's and Bai's Chinese wedding. At least that one didn't have a wall as a backdrop. Still, woo!
Where was Martha during all this?
Well then...
We'll leave this quick French holiday with this.
Peony: Ugh, I can't even.
Back home, Peony actually started paying attention to her new son.
Peony: Ahh, that new born baby smell.
Because of Damien's arrival, and the upcoming arrival of one more child, some renovations took place. The downstairs got expanded to make room for a gym and a music room, leaving space for a granny (grampy?) flat to the built in the old space. Nate and Bai moved out of their room upstairs and into the flat.
Plus, to save them from having to go into the main house for food, they got their own kitchen.
Comparing this house to the house that this legacy first start in, it's amazing how far this family has come.
Starter house (complete with a bindiving young Nate)
Current house.
#mindblown
You may be wondering where the third child is going to come from? Is it from Peony, so soon after she's had her second child?
Nope.
It's from Martha.
Martha: Yes, my very own destroyer of worlds is growing inside me!
Calm down. You need to have the child first of all.
Peony: Okay, baby girl. Focus on me and not the sounds of my sister going into labour.
Yes, Martha's pregnancy seemed to fly by.
Meet the final child of Generation Three! Vincent McKracken is Absent Minded and Hates the Outdoors. He likes Dark Wave music, vegetarian chilli, and the colour yellow. His star sign is Capricorn.
Who could the father be?
Find out soon!
----
And another chapter comes to a close. I'm sorry if it feels like I'm rushing things, but a majority of the screenshots I have are of Peony going abroad, which I don't want to include. I don't want to build a story up only for it to get nowhere when I encountered the game-breaking glitch. It did occur very near the end of the legacy, so I will include screenshots of the family abroad if I feel it adds to the legacy. I'm really sorry about this D:
But on a happier note, all three Gen Three child are here! Cayleigh, Damien, and Vincent. I didn't intend for them all to have old fashioned sounding names, but they fit so well.
